Fixed Appliances

Fixed Appliances are a tried and tested method of orthodontic treatment that continues to get great results.

Many adults have memories of big clunky braces from their youth. Luckily, times have changed and even traditional braces are far smaller, have a lower profile and are easier to attach than ever before. Today, traditional braces are very durable and have a smooth finish, making them easier on the lips and gums.

Traditional metal braces have been adapted over the years, so there are now different types of braces available which use this original treatment method including ceramic (clear) and lingual (invisible) braces.

Benefits of Traditional Braces

Traditional braces have evolved over time and today they have many benefits for patients requiring orthodontic treatment.

  • The brackets are small making them more comfortable to wear.
  • They are one of the less expensive orthodontic treatment methods available.
  • They continue to be a reliable orthodontic treatment, getting great results for our patients.
  • They can be used to treat all types of orthodontic problems, both major and minor.
  • Many teenagers, and even adults, also love the fun they can have with traditional braces by showing them off with coloured elastics.
